Longarming with Minky Backs
Longarming with minky backing? Here are a few tips!

Minky makes a quilt wonderfully soft, lush, and cuddly, but it behaves a little differently from traditional cotton backing.
My best tips:
✔️ Don't stretch the minky when loading it.
✔️ Keep your clamps loose enough that they aren't pulling.
✔️ Allow at least 4" of extra backing on ALL sides.
✔️ Choose pantographs without backtracking or points that must meet precisely.
✔️ Use soft, pliable batting.
A few small adjustments can make a big difference in your finished quilt!
